Letters Sent by the Caucus

  • Lawmakers pushed back against the proposed elimination of the Corridor Cities Transitway from the state’s capital transportation spending plan. The project will provide faster, more direct transportation between residential and major employment areas.

  • Elected officials from Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties wrote in opposition to WMATA’s proposal to permanently end late-night service on Metro on weekends and to curtail standard service on Sunday evenings.

  • In a letter to Secretary of Transportation Pete Rahn, lawmakers sought information on key details of the Purple Line, including fare setting and collection and performance indicators.

  • A 2016 letter highlighted the importance of Metro to Maryland.
